Teenagers and the quality of Polish educational system.

Let me start with a quote from 'Psychologia nastolatka' ('The Psychology of the Adolescent'): "When a teenager enrolls in a drama club class, for example, he steps outside his comfort zone, takes risks, limits his control, and begins the process, often without knowing the outcome. Additionally, he starts to build social relationships with other kids, learns attentiveness, co-responsibility, closeness. That when he is part of a team, what happens between people becomes most important, not his individual goals. What is more important is the relationship, not the being right." (Psychologia nastolatka, nr 4/2022, p. 78) The school system in Poland does not (in my opinion) prepare teenagers for the realities of life. How can this be changed? It seems to me that parents and teenagers themselves should demand somehow the quality of education, so that the school is not overloaded with theoretical content, a modern school should ensure learning how to solve problems.

“Education should be represented by experts.” (Zdzisław Hofman)

“Vzdělávání by měli zastupovat odborníci.” (This post is written in English and Czech) In “Psychologia nastolatka” (“Adolescent Psychology”) (no. 4/2022, page 77, the magazine is in Polish) we can read the following passage: “(…)  education should be represented by experts  who understand the psychological mechanisms and neurobiological processes of young people. Of course this knowledge is at hand. So why don’t officials want to use it? I am not a political expert, but I  have the impression that many politicians have a very short-sighted view of their own interests .  It seems to them that it doesn’t pay to ‘have’ informed, strong, independent, confident citizens.” The author of this text is  Zdzisław Hofman , teacher, biologist, sociotherapist, trainer of psychological and social competences. V “Psychologii nastolatka” (“Psychologii dospívajících”, č. 4/2022, str. 77) si můžeme přečíst následující pasáž: “(…)  vzdělávání by měli reprezentovat odborníci , kteří rozumí psychologický

Your temperament determines your actions and reactions.

In the article "Temperament can be tamed" ("Psychologia nastolatka", no. 4/2022, pp. 42-46), the author writes about an important topic for teenagers: temperament. The article mentions that temperament is an inborn character trait. According to the author, "It can be assumed that temperament is the way one reacts with emotions to what is happening in the environment." Your - dear teenager - reactions to what you face on a daily basis are determined by your temperament. The article mentions that "Temperament influences the choice of coping strategies for difficult feelings aroused by some situation such as sadness, fear or anger." The author writes that: "temperament sets the direction" and that "it is easy to fall into the trap of one's temperament, especially being a teenager." You are a teenager - you are experiencing a period of intense physical, mental, social change. You have your problems (I prefer to call them chall

About "the listening phone": 116 111 (the helpline in Poland)

Sometimes there is a time or a day in the life of a teenager when she/he needs to talk to someone about a problem. It's good to have someone you trust, and talking frankly with your parents is ideal. Who else can we talk to? Friends we trust. True friends are an invaluable asset. There is also the option of talking to specialists on 116 111. I learned about this in the magazine "Psychologia nastolatka" (issue 4/2022, pages 34-37). I will quote some extracts from these pages (translated from Polish). "Each helpline contact is a completely different story, way of life, age and, above all, personality of the caller. All young people have in common the need to talk and receive understanding. A conversation that can bring relief." 116 111 - is a helpline for children and young people; it is free and open 24 hours a day; it is also possible to send a message via 116111.pl; this helpline is run by the Dajemy Dzieciom Siłę Foundation. 116 111 is used by young people who
